Pain often makes us pull away - come together to heal your relationship with your body.

Embodied Parenting and Attunement Through Movement

Developmentally-focused movement, rhythm, and play for infants 0-6 months

Workshop dedicated to bonding with your infant through movement, music, and play! Parents/caregivers will learn developmentally appropriate interactions, stretches, and movement for infants and young babies, and ways to promote increasing body organization in their child as they begin to learn about the world around them. Parents/caregivers will also receive support in their own ability to attune to their child. For parents and caregivers with children 6 months or younger (or pre-crawling).

This no-stress improvisation class introduces movement exercises and open dance “structures” to help cultivate a unique voice as a moving body.

Movers of all levels will have the opportunity to challenge their expressive range, listen to their inner voice and develop trust in decision making. Skills such as spatial awareness, dance dynamics, silent communication, and resolution of movement will be addressed.

Class will offer opportunities to develop solo and group material. Class series will begin by creating 30 second dances, and work towards 5+ minutes. All classes end with an open movement “jam”.

Experienced improvisors welcome, but no improv or dance experience necessary.

       A Therapeutic Support Group

This therapeutic group will explore multiple mind-body approaches to coping with chronic pain, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dance/movement therapy, and mindfulness practices. Techniques are always evidence-based. This group will aim to create a community of support and understanding around the chronic pain experience, and nurture a positive relationship with one’s own body.
